"What do the Little Symbols Mean? You may notice some symbols on the Family View at the ends of some of the names. Here is what they mean: A "+" at the end of a parent names means that person has parents. There is at least one more generation of ancestors on that line. A "+" at the end of a child name means that person has children. There is at least one more generation of descendants on that line." There are more symbols described, but I only included the part about the + sign, since that's what you asked about. Does this make sense with what you're seeing?
