I use an event/fact called "Obituary/Death Notice". I put the text of the obituary in the Event Notes. I then source the newspaper that the obituary appeared in with the edition date and page number in the Source Detail. The source would be listed as "Newspaper: New York Times" so that the newspapers would all appear in the Source List together.
