When I first converted to Legacy via a GEDCOM file a year or so ago, I noted
lots of words in the notes had been imported with a space in the word. i.e.,
‘date’ might be ‘da te’, ‘birth’ might be ‘bir th’, etc. So, I have tried
making manual corrections while using the ‘Global Spell Check’ feature.
Unfortunately, when I encounter ‘da te’, there is no option available to make
that into ‘date’, so after I complete the spell checking for a particular
general note, I then select the ‘Skip to Next’ feature, which takes me to the
next individual who has a note error.

To check on my progress, I exit the spell checker and go to the note for the
specific individual who I had just corrected. To my consternation, the note
has not been corrected as I had hoped – the ‘da te’ type spelling error remain.
This is not a fault with the spell checker, since it is looking for misspelled
words, but this ‘da te’ issue isn’t being corrected either. I believe I have
thousands of words like this in the notes for a lot of my entries and it
appears to be a rather large undertaking to correct.

Is there anyway to manually correct this during use of the spell checker as I
am doing by making the manual correction and then select some feature that will
permit this manual correction to take effect in my notes?
