I think you may have forgotten the relationship between the Master Source definition and the citation details. There is a one-to-many relationship between the Master Source and the Citations emanating from it. Each Source Detail (or Citation) is associated with one or more individuals and so from the Master Source List (I presume that is where you're at) you press the 'Show List,,,' button and get a list of the individuals to whom the Master Source is attached via a Citation. From there, you have to select each individual in turn and edit them.
