Various SourceWriter templates have fields for e-mail addresses or
mailing addresses or website URLs. It is inevitable that from time to
time people move house or get a new e-mail address and that websites get
moved or disappear altogether.

What is the protocol regarding such changes? Does one update the
existing Sources or create new ones? As it may vary according to
circumstance, I list a few here:

1 A few citations which include an address where the address is no
longer current but that Source will not be used again. (Eg a one-off
letter from someone.)

2 As above, but one will continue to use this Source. (Eg a continuing
e-mail correspondence.)

3 and 4 Similar to 1 and 2 above but substitute change of URL.

Obviously there's not a lot one can do about a website which is taken
down altogether (although in some cases a pointer to the Way Back
Machine might be helpful.)
