Jane,

That's fine so far, even if the name at the top makes it seem a little
confusing. To continue:

8. Select a convenient tag number
9. Cleck the button "Every one in the search list
10 Close.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Birck wall on tagging

I am going through the video instruction CDs and am determined to learn fine
points as I go. I am on the "Tagging & Searching" cd now.

To practice the instruction, I wish to creat a "Tag 1" for all my farthest
back ancestors on each line. Here is the procedure I used (and which isn't
working worth a darn.)

1. I Clear tags for everyone
2. I go to Search > Miscellaneous
3. I put my ID nuimber in as "Current Individual"
4. I Click "Direct line ancestors with no parents) (I clear list before
search is checked)
5. I go to "Create list" The list looks right.
6. I go to "Options > Advanced Taggins"
7. On that screen the individual taggind blank is filled with one of my
ancestors name. There is not way on that screen to change it back to me.

I am totally puzzled, even after looking at every option available on every
screen of the process. Help appreciated.

Jane S..
