We have heard rumors that it will be this year but they are still doing beta
testing on different parts of the program and it will depend on when they get
most of the bugs worked out.

This is going to be a world family tree with not millions but billions of names
in it.  It will be well worth the wait.  Eventually we hope copies of the
actual records held now on microfilm will be able to be attached directly to
the names which means you would be able to actually find birth, death and
marriage records attached to the names you find on the pedigree charts.  That
is the future and not being done yet.

Right now, just like the current family search records, there are no sources
attached to the names. Still you can find connections to check out you may not
know of.  We are currently combining the information that is listed on
Ancestral file, the Pedigree Resource File and the IGI together so they are not
listed several times but only once on the pedigree charts.  This is a slow
process and because of the difference of opinions may take a long time.

But some of us are putting our e-mail addresses on the information we share
hoping we may be able to connect with other researchers who are related to us.

Is there any estimate when Family Search will be made available to non
LDS members?
