Since you are not a member of the LDS Church, then the Family Search option
will be of no use to you at the present time. But there is a rumor that it
might be available to the general public late this year or the first of next
year. They are still working out some of the bugs. So for now I would go
to Options/Customize and uncheck Family Search.
As for the one red and one green, probably some small mishap. If you had
access to Family Search you could synchronize that person on your data base
with the person on Family Search and the arrow would change colors.

No. I am not a member and cannot access newfamilysearch. That is another
reason this is a strange thing.

Are you using NewFamilySearch or FamilySearch. I guess you are using NFS
because that allows interactions between the two databases. Those of us on
the waiting list can't help you or understand your question. (I'm not
complaining, just pointing out that most of us do not have the option yet.
We are not ignoring you.
