Yeh, Bill. But then Scotland has its own laws, system etc. and I don't think
had any Registration Districts until 1855 (off the top of my head). The
parishes were noted for keeping very minimal records - if at all.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Family Search Mapping

Reading the Legacy Newsletter about the additions to Family Search Records
has reminded me to mention a new Mapping Search of England from which one
can identify all the jurisdictions relating to a town or area eg,
Registration Districts, Parishes and hence indications as to where source
material may be found.

Even though I consider I know England pretty well over the past month I find
that I am using it more and more. Full details are given on my blog at
http://bit.ly/9mCl5H.
