The Beta.familysearch.org is not a beta test site, which usually involves some sort of invite. This is a beta site open to everyone, and will probably become a replacement for the current FamilySearch.org. They are trying out various software modules to see how they work before committing the entire site to the different software. Enjoy it, and send in comments if desired.
