Thank you both, Wendy and Virginia.....for your help and comments.....I had seen someone use the border to bring in other spouses...once..and forgot about that, and I'll never forget that quick way now to bring them up...
I've only had the problem with the one icon...not the siblings.....and I will contact tech support for help on the problem. I am using Legacy 7.5 and have Vista. and where do I go in Legacy for trouble shooting problems? Thank you again for your help Barbara L. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wendy Howard" <wendy.how...@gmail.com> To: <LegacyUserGroup@LegacyUsers.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 29, 2011 4:57 PM Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] a problem when I click on double marriage icon Hi Barbara, > When a man has 2 wives and I want to bring up the other wife, I click on > the "2 people icon" and "sometimes" a layer comes up with "marriage > list" written at the top, and my program freezes up. I don't know why you're having that problem, but I can tell you about another method for getting to a second (or third...) spouse. In Family View there's a border around all the different areas, and this is an active part of the window... Click on the border between the husband and wife to cycle through the siblings of the highlighted person. Click on the border to the left of the husband to cycle through his wives. Click on the border to the right of the wife to cycle through her husbands. There are more clickable areas in the borders - look at the bottom of the window as you move the cursor around, and the text box will change to indicate what can be done at that place. Hope this helps. :-) Kind Regards, Wendy Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp To unsubscribe: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/LegacyLists.asp
