Dave,

I cannot think of a way one can globally change the html to embedded coding.
Given that the problem seems to be related to the file transfer, what method
did you use to transfer the .fdb file? At present it seems to me that
copying them across in a different way may prevent the problem arising.

BTW if you do not get many more or any answers from me for the next few
hours, it's because it is now well past my bed time!! :-)

Also when I do this now for new events the bold does actually show up. It's
just all of my old entries. By old I mean the family file that I copied over
from my old hard disk on the XP system.

It's all be done over the past several years but I've used both the "BOLD"
button, and/or the "CNTL-B".

Dave,

There are so many places within Legacy where is it possible to include html
settings, or use Legacy buttons, eg, the Bold Button for the note fields,
that more information would be helpful - where are the lines to which you
refer? How did you create them? would do for starters.

There is nothing in the change to Win7, from whatever you were using before
which is likely to cause the change, nor should the installation procedure.
Depending on where the problem lies, the .usr files may have no significance
either.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Bold text not showing bold

I just reinstalled Legacy on my new Win7 machine.

Bold text is not showing bolded. It shows as <b> text </b> for example.

I was (almost) sure it showed as bold text on screen.

I copied all of my .usr files from by install on XP.
Is there another setting someplace that needs to be set?
