I have come to this thread rather late.

Html coding (of whatever kind, Legacy or non-Legacy) shows in the D/P/N
column in the Events box on the Individual screen. The removal of this
visual record is what prompted my request that it be re-instated. For
the vast majority of users, this should not be an issue. If they have
some custom event and would like the Description field to be italic, for
example, they can simply add that to the Sentence definition, overriding
it when not applicable. No coding will appear.

If you open an Event, coding of whatever kind (if not part of the
Sentence Definition) shows in the Event/Description/Date/Location boxes
and has since inception. Legacy standard coding (italic, bold, etc) now
does not appear in the Notes; non-Legacy coding, ie a manually coded
internal or external hyperlink or the like, does.I am not quite seeing
how this might confuse someone.

I have no idea what an "ordinary" user might look like or desire, but I
want to see exactly what is entered, not some pretty approximation.
