I am trying to export a piece of my file so that I can import it into a friend’s file. I have tried to do this several different ways and either I don’t get everyone or I end up with duplicates. I have tried dragging a dropping people and I have tried exporting people into a new Legacy file by using a focus group. I know that I am making this hard on myself. Here is an example....
She has John Lewis in her file married 1 time. I have all of John Lewis’ other marriages and all of the children for each marriage. When I try and drag and drop, I lose all of the his spouses’ ancestors. If I try and export a family by using a focus group, I only get 1 generation of children. This guy was married 5 times. If I end up having to move everyone over 1 at I time it will take me years.
