I've noticed in a couple of emails that some YouTube videos have been attached - either that or there are links and the links are showing as attachments in my inbox - I can't quite figure out which.
Anyway this is a good time to remind you all - PLEASE no attachments to messages sent to the LUG list and no graphics inserted inline. We have listers from all around the world and who could be on dial-up or metered service (limited amount of bandwidth per month) so let's please be respectful of this. Not to mention the risk of malware coming through attachments. And when you see a link in an email, please be careful about clicking on it, especially if there is no Legacy or genealogy related text in the body of the message! Spammers are getting smarter and hijacking inboxes and email addresses so they can get through to lists and other places where they shouldn't be! Also, another quick reminder that messages need to stay on topic regarding Legacy and Legacy Add-ons. The conversation about GENCatalog is fine because it's kind of an add on <g> since it also searches for Legacy files... and is created by Mudcreek Software's Luc Comeau, who is also a Legacy programmer..... Thanks all! This is a great group and I love all the input and activity on the list!
