You probably are correct, I only see "lf.jpg" instead of a .pdf file in the multimedialist. So a pdf-file probably cannot be changed globally. That's bad because I have a lot of pdf-files connected to a lot of individuals :-(. Evert

From the Help: Rename You can change the name of the currently highlight file in the Picture File name List by clicking the Rename button. The file is then renamed on disk. If the file has a + in the U column, any links to this picture within your family file are also renamed to match the change you made So just rename the extension of the file from pdf to jpg and after you have done this replace the renamed pdf-file with the jpg-file. Each source detail is a separate reference to the multimedia file. Therefore, you have to change each reference separately. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
