Thanks, Alan, I had tried Ron's advice before I read yours but will check it
out too before I print

Best way I can thinks of is to use the "Descendant Tab"
First go to the oldest ancestor
select Descendant Tab
Click on tab header - say birth date , then add, if missing, columns for
christening and death date
Choose print then preview to see what it looks like before printing.
Note: Adding too much detail causes this to wrap test to the next line making
it less readable.
You may want to think about Landscape printing to get more information per line.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Way to print the entire file?

For the family of the man who doesn’t use a computer, I would like to print an
index that would include every individual in the tree (about 1600). Is there a
report that would include all with their info?

For desc. of John & Sylvia to ‘Leland,’ (about 100 pgs in Narrative, the main
and largest section) I see the index, but desc of children of John not in
Leland’s direct line would not be included.

If I print Leland’s ancestors in Narrative, then break the rest up into
narratives of John’s ‘descendants  of child 1, child 2, etc, will that catch
everyone? (John had 14 chldn but for some there is little info.)  Then they
would all be indexed but – separately, within their group.

Else, is there a way to print the entire index (not the best - that would just
be alphabetized names with no reference to pages where they might be found);
maybe include dates, spouses.

Any ideas for the best way to get a hard copy for him to see the scope?  Thanks.
