Hi Carolyn.  I'm sure you will get a thousand different opinions, but
quite a few people who use Legacy on the desktop use a thing called TNG
(The Next Generation of Genealogy Sitebuilding) on their websites.
Legacy is the best desktop program, but TNG has better features when it
comes to the application to the website.  TNG can do all that and more
and after the initial outlay of $29.95 for the software (one time until
a major upgrade), the cost can be as low as about $4.99 per month on the
hosting sites that TNG recommends.  You can use Legacy and transfer to
your website via a GEDCOM.  Good luck!
