You would need to give me more details... which "popup information boxes" specifically? The little 'help' boxes when you hover over an icon? The abbreviated information boxes when you hover over an individual in family view? The individual's information window?
And the whole box is squished? or just the font is small? or too big to fit in the box legibly? All mine look fine. I have the Customize box checked for the fonts to "stretch on resize" and I'm on version 165.
