That's true Russ but the question was how to get the backup prompt on exit. It is well known that Legacy sometimes gets error 91 when using the File>Backup but seems to always work with the backup on exit. Instructions for correcting error 91 do not resolve the problem. I don't think anyone has ever figured out why the menu option to backup has this problem. A few users have suggested that it works if you invoke it when not on the Family view tab. It would be great if it were fixed but it has been an issue for quite a while. I'm happy that the backup on exit does work consistently. Ron Taylor

If you simply open a database and then exit, no change has happened, so no prompt to backup. If you want to make it backup, change some field in a record, then change it back, then exit. Since the latest update to 7.5.0.165, that popup box is no longer "popping"...I do get the message box "Are you sure you want to exit Legacy?"... I have unchecked the backup prompt and rechecked it...closed the program...closed my computer...restarted...opened Legacy...closed Legacy...and still no "Backup" reminder? Has anyone else experienced this?
