Leon, Brian, If I understand Leon correctly then I do not think that it will work since I think it will change all 200 sources, not just the 80 required.
I cannot see a way of doing this other than manually, but since, Brian, you are prepared to delete manually, why not change one Event/Source to what is required, put this in the Event Clipboard, and then just edit each Event by pasting from it. I am doing this off the top of my head, but I think it should work. I suggest trying it with just one first, to ensure the unwanted source is removed. Why not just edit the old source that you already have for the 80 people and then Legacy will change it for everyone? I think that would be the easist thing to do. ___ Leon Chapman chap...@gmail.com ----- On Sat, Mar 31, 2012 at 2:48 PM, Brian Lehman <blr...@optonline.net> wrote: > Hello, > Is this possible? > I have an event I created called "Ancestral town", added to about 200 > people, all with the same source. > I am trying to assign abt 80 of them a different source, that's already > in the source list, while keeping it in the same event. > I have the 80 people tagged on "1" that I want to "change" and looked at > advanced sourcing. > I see how to assign a source to people on a tag, for standard data, > birth, marriage, death, etc. > But didnt see a way to change a source to an event I created. > Never used advanced sourcing before.
