MANY 32 bit programs can run fine under 64 bit windows, but not all.
Utility programs are potential problem programs (drive scan type of
programs), and some programs that really max out your system resources
might be potential problem ones.

So, while you do need to "be careful" with what you install, most
day-to-day "normal" programs are USUALLY ok.  But it doesn't hurt to
check with the program vendor before you install.  So don't feel like it
was a dumb question - better safe than sorry!

(I am also running Win7 - 64 bit and legacy runs fine)
