It looks like, from your new description, that the last child has two
sets of parents. George David Parker and his wife are on set and George
Parker Sr. with no recorded wife is the second set.

Examine the parent icon for that last child. There should be a 2 on it
and clicking that will show both sets. Select the George Parker Sr. and
Unknown set of parents
Click the Unlink from child button to remove the link from that child to
George Parker Sr.
