I made templates long before the "Source Writer" and still use that
method. I select the template add my specifics and save as a new source. I also
use the person's name as well as the Memorial #.

I use the URL as a generic source, then simply paste the copied memorial
number  in the citation text that pops up;
Example: Find A Grave Memorial# 50043453
Example of how the source could look in the sources Index at the end of
the report:
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi, 'Find A Grave', Find A Grave
Memorial# 50043453.
… or (a different way of formatting the source)
'Find A Grave' - http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi, Find A Grave
Memorial# 50043453.
When you go to the Find A Grave website search page, simply copy and paste
the memorial number …. 50043453 … into the spot for the memorial
number, click on search and you’re taken directly to the sourced memorial. Each
FAG memorial is assigned a unique number and there is a spot on the search
page to insert this number, if known. This number is found in the very last
line of each memorial, under the contributors name and date the memorial
was created.
Quick and easy way to locate the sourced memorial at “Find A Grave”.
Oops, just read the  original question. I don’t use the new source writer;
still use the basic sources for formatting my sources. Will go ahead and
post this, as it might help someone like me who still uses the original
Legacy basic source formatting.

The problem that I see with that is that many of FAG memorials do not have
any of these, they only have name, date/dates and place of burial. Since
I prefer to lump sources together I want one source for FAG. I use the
generic source, title it Burial Records-findagrave with the URL as
_http://www.findagrave.com/_ (http://www.findagrave.com/) . I add it to the
source
to the clipboard, then when I'm ready to add FAG records, I create the
Event "Burial Records-findagrave" I add the information that's available,
such as "family links, personal &/or tombstone photo/photos, and who
submitted it and when. With the Edit Detail>Text/Comments, I add the URL for
the
particular memorial, having checked the box "Add this Text to the Source
Citation on Reports."

Here is how I do it: Use Source Writer > Cemetery Records > Grave
Markers, Plaques, tombstones, monumental inscriptions > online images

Then the following appears neat and clean:

Footnote/Endnote Citation:

Jim Tipton, Find a Grave, digital images (_http://www.findagrave.com/_
(http://www.findagrave.com/) ).

Subsequent Citation:

Jim Tipton, Find a Grave.

Bibliography:

Jim Tipton. Find a Grave. Digital images. _www.findagrave.com_
(http://www.findagrave.com/) : Nov 28, 2006.

When it comes to citation, then you just add the name as the item of
interest, the date, and in the text tab comments on the citation:

Hello Everyone,

I know in the source writer we have an option for cemetery records. But,
how would you source Find A Grave? Is there a source we can add to the
source writer? Or am I not seeing something?

Cynthia
