With jet planes, it may not be so today, but for ancestors, the date of leaving 
(emigration) was often different from the date of arriving (immigration).  They 
are two different events.  Sometimes you know one, sometimes the other, and 
sometimes both. Also, the location for each event is going to be different.

Seems simple enough, yet it's confusing to me.
When immigrant family members arrive in the US for the first time (and have 
made the US their home), I have made an Immigration Event for them. Are you 
saying that these events should now be "Emigration" events?  :-)
