Your problem sounds like a general Windows issue. I could do it in Linux, but I can't think of an appropriate search term. You need it to search for (a) one or more spaces, (b) at the end of a line. In Linux, the $ sign can indicate the right-hand end of the line. There may be an equivalent under Windows. I found the following link, but it may not do what you need:
