Donna, I just copied all my Legacy files to a new computer. After I downloaded Legacy and restored my family file on the new computer, I went into my original multimedia files,(on the old computer) under the C drive, Legacy Folder, and Pictures Folder, (I had Vista and Windows 7 so this is where I kept them). I then opened each sub folder in my pictures folder and copied the whole lot of pics. I then pasted them into the new computers folder, in the same places; drive C, Legacy, Pictures, etc. so they were in exactly the same place as the old computer, (the path would be exactly the same). This process took me less than 5 minutes and everything is fine. I don't know about Windows 8, but if you can put copy and paste them in exactly the same place they were on your old computer it would work.
