My question would be, why would you want to open it in Access? What do you want to do that you can’t do within Legacy itself? I am asking because I have no idea. I have Access on my computer but I don't have a clue how to use it :)

Joe, Yes, and with OpenOffice as well. It is also a very good way of corrupting your database and rendering it completely unusable. Whether you are an expert in Access or OpenOffice or not, you should always work on a copy of your .fdb file and not the original.
