Keep a close eye on how you enter old dates and how Legacy records it, to make sure it is correct. Entering 2 Jan 1633 will record as 2 Jan 1632/33, so make sure it is not supposed to be 1633/34. Entering 2 Jan 1632/33 will record as you typed it. When I started computerizing my old data, sometimes what I wrote down or what my sources said simply said 2 Jan 1633, which Legacy automatically turns into a double year, and in some cases with further research, turned out to really be 1633/34 instead of 1632/33.

All depends on how you're entering the date. If you're entering it as 17 Mar 1633/4, then you're confusing Legacy. Entry it as 17 Mar 1633, and Legacy will do the necessary. -- Regards, Mike Fry Johannesburg (g) Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
