I'd like to follow up on this, please. I have a family with a daughter, Lavinia, for whom I have census events as a child with her parents, a marriage and census events with her husband and family. So far so good.
However, I have discovered another family of the same surname, with a daughter Lavinia born in the same general area and of the same age. I have census entries for her with her parents. It is possible that I have married the wrong Lavinia. I've sent off for the marriage certificate (fortunately the fathers' names are different) and I may have to swap the daughters. I know I can do that by unlinking both and relinking them to the right parents but that will leave the wrong childhood census entries with each Lavinia. Is it possible to start a "Manual Merge", use the arrows to move the census events to the correct Lavinia, but not perform the actual merge? Or is there a better way? Advice would be appreciated Tony Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
