Shirley, I am sure that you meant 1837! But that aside, one thing to be careful about is multiple baptisms - especially in rural areas.
It was quite common for parents to sort of save kids up, if only on cost grounds, and then have a batch baptism. So, do not assume twins.when there is only a joint baptism.
