Wow, wish they had asked us about the "ribbon" - that was my least favorite thing when MS Office implemented it. Takes up too much real estate. Hoping there is a way to turn it off in Legacy. --Paula in Texas Researching: Adair Baker Beasley Benson Betz Bigley Blagrave Burton Chapman Clement Clough Coppernoll Costine Daulton Dinwiddie Doody Ellis Exline Field Floran Floyd Gates Goodale Gordon Gump Hale Harbaugh Hind Hopkins Hughes Hurdle Jones Klein Koyle Laswell McDonald Misner Passwaters Pelton Roberts Roche Ryburn Sanford Short Singer Sullivan Weller Williams

I am using the same settings in both V7 and V8. In Screen Fonts, Data is set Verdana 10 pt, Labels to Arial 10 pt, “stretch fonts when resizing is checked”, and min font size is 10, max font size 99. The names, dates, and location data displayed in Family View are significantly smaller in V8, I estimate 2-3 pts. Some reasons: 1. The new ribbon takes up more space than the old toolbar. <snip> Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
