Hi Leonard:

Thanks for your reply! Yes I realize that I can change the sentences
themselves, but unfortunately I cannot independently change the Source Details.
If I make any change to i.e. Witnesses, the change is copied to the main person.

I would like to be able to edit the Source Detail for "shared individuals"
without affecting the Source Detail of the "main individual".

Sentences can be changed for roles and/or events. They are changed the same
way you make these changes in Legacy 7.5.
Just a little information.

HI David:

Thanks for your reply. Sadly I agree. As much as I was hoping the Shared Events
feature would be a time saver, I would never be happy knowing the Detail Text
was not consistent with the rest of my work.

But I do like having Witnesses, Informants (and other roles) having their own
events (something I was not doing previously).

So, I guess the best way forward is to create templates for these events (do
you agree?).

Does anyone have examples of templates they have created for Witness and or
Informant events (I'll check the Archives also)? I'm going to spend some time
tomorrow looking at all the new Shared Event Roles in Legacy 8 and try to come
up with Event templates for them.

Thanks David and anyone else with suggestions.

Leo

NOTE: I am also going to put in the suggestion / request that Shared Event
text have the ability to be edited. I'm sure I can't be the only Legacy user
who would find this feature helpful.
