Mary:

I think here is the trick you need to do:
1. go to Options, Settings, 7.4 -- set Default to OFF
2. At bottom of page, click on "Options for Default Settings"
I think you will need to click Options 3, 4, & 5 which does:
3)  Save all settings as user defaults
4)  Save current Global settings as User Defaults
5)  Save current Family file settings as User Defaults

then Save out of Customize Legacy

It may be enough to just do options 4 & 5 above.

Try that and see what happens.  It works for me.
