Kurt,

In Legacy v7.5, there does not appear to be an ‘Options for default settings
Tab’ under Customize. Could you be a bit more specific.

Then in your other databases, use Options->Customize->Options for default
settings->Reset to User-Defaults.

All options were global in Legacy 7 and earlier. I can not find a good reason
why some settings are now only effective for each family file. When I select
certain settings, I want those to apply to every database that I open so that I
see the same effect with each one. It is frustrating to get the settings just
right and then open another database only to find that the "preferred" settings
are not still set.

Is there at least a method of copying all settings for one database such that
they will be the same for another database? Please describe how that might be
done with Legacy 8. Even with an "Export to new Legacy Family File" the
settings from the source file are not effective in the exported file.

Another possibility would be to have a table of the settings where the user
could determine which ones should be global and which should be family file
linked instead of having it hard-coded in the program.
