I would save it to the Legacy/backup file, then extract it there, then copy the resulting .fdb file to the Legacy/Data folder, wher eLegacy 'expects' to see file that are fdb
a zip file is merely a COMPRESSED version, the zip process takes out all the spaces and formatting code that makes the fdb so large a fdb file that is 34,000 KB is only 4354 KB when compressed. Zipping a file will NOT lose any actual data within the file. Hope that helps, Jay PS, you could also use a SHARED Dropbox file instead of emailing On Wed, May 21, 2014 at 7:45 PM, elizabeth <newi...@gmail.com> wrote: > One final (I hope) silly question, but I want to make sure I do this > correctly... > > When they receive the .zip file, should they save it to the C:/Legacy/Data > file or to the C:/Legacy/Backups file......or doesn't it matter where they > save it? > > Elizabeth > > > On Wed, May 21, 2014 at 6:27 PM, Paul Gray <graypa...@outlook.com> wrote: > >> If you are sending a backup zip file to someone with Legacy, they should >> start Legacy and do File --> Restore and select the zip file.
