A lot of it depends on how you use Master Sources and Details. I
follow Geoff's method...

Here are some ways I'd attach pictures of various sources:

Book - cover, copyright page, forward, etc would go with the Master Source
Pages from the info that you're citing detail on would go with the
detail. This would apply to genealogy histories, transcriptions
(cemetery record abstracts), etc.

Census - I put the enumeration page with the detail. I can't think of
anything images from a census that would be associated with the Master
Source.

Website - info about the website (home page, etc) with the Master
Source. Screen shot of the page with the data on the citation.

Think of attaching pictures to a Master Source if the pictures apply
to the source in general.

If the picture applies to the detail you're abstracting, then the
picture would go with the detail.....

Sounds to me like you've been doing it the way I would!
