Thanks Jenny, that's the perfect solution. And yes, I guess I didn't make it clear, I'm looking for un-attached picture files that I can get rid of. Legacy says I'm not missing any multimedia files but it's those extra pictures that I no longer reference and want to get rid of. I don't know if I would have ever thought about looking for that indicator using the Picture Center. As much as I hate the Picture Center and its relative archaic interface, it does have some very useful purposes. Thanks again.

But are you talking about documents that were attached as Documents or as Pictures? I'm not sure about the former, but for images I bring up the folder I want to "clean" in the Picture Centre and look for any that don't have a - in the first column. They're the ones I can delete. I used to do that in version 7.5 and do it now in version 8. I always do a check for missing media afterwards just in case I have accidentally deleted something that was attached somewhere, but haven't ever done so yet. -- Jenny M Benson Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
