Thanks Jenny, that's the perfect solution. And yes, I guess I didn't make it 
clear, I'm looking for un-attached picture files that I can get rid of. Legacy 
says I'm not missing any multimedia files but it's those extra pictures that I 
no longer reference and want to get rid of. I don't know if I would have ever 
thought about looking for that indicator using the Picture Center. As much as I 
hate the Picture Center and its relative archaic interface, it does have some 
very useful purposes. Thanks again.

I presume you are talking about documents that were originally attached to 
Sources or Source Citations.  But are you talking about documents that were 
attached as Documents or as Pictures?  I'm not sure about the former, but for 
images I bring up the folder I want to "clean" in the Picture Centre and look 
for any that don't have a - in the first column.
  They're the ones I can delete.

I used to do that in version 7.5 and do it now in version 8.  I always do a 
check for missing media afterwards just in case I have accidentally deleted 
something that was attached somewhere, but haven't ever done so yet.
