Kirsten, This is a known issue that has already been fixed by the programmers and the fix will appear in the next update. This is a problem with the program and not your actual data file. Only a handful of people actually have this error.
If you would like me to check/repair the file for you, you can back up your file (data portion only, leave the other boxes unchecked) and attach the backup to an email addressed to supp...@legacyfamilytree.com. Put my name in the email somewhere. Your file should be just fine without a check/repair until the next update comes out but I would be more than happy to check/repair it for you. Either way, always make frequent backups. When I run check/repair it consistently hangs up on step 43 and I get the error message where I am supposed to check "no" (with no error number). Checking Yes does nothing as the error message returns with no progress being made. I have tried checking No (which gets me past step 43 and the check/repair finishes, but the next time I run check/repair it again hangs up on step 43. I have searched the trouble-shooting web-site and not found anything helpful. I have tried compacting the family file numerous times (as suggested by the error message), rebooting my computer, closing and re-opening Legacy, and re-installing Legacy (although I did not uninstall). Any suggestions? -- Kirstin Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyusers.com/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/legacyusergroup@legacyfamilytree.com/ Online technical support: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Help.asp Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
