There is a very serious problem with the Check / Repair tool in L8.

I am using version 8.0.0.439.

Here is how you can verify it using the Sample file.

For Asa Clark Brown, RIN1, click on his Sources icon. Select any event
(I used Unspecified because it is top of list).

Add a new source called WWW. Edit detail and select Media tab and add
media > Internet Website.

Now paste one of the following into the Website URL and Caption:

https://www.google.com/

http://www.detroitnews.com/

https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/N3JY-54F

http://www.nosorigines.qc.ca/GenealogieQuebec.aspx?genealogie=Beriault_Josephte&pid=732103&lng=fr

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=101062064

http://index.rbhayes.org/hayes/index/record_detail.asp?id=1994102

http://www.fichierorigine.com/detail.php?numero=240491

http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Gouin-89

If you use one of the first 2 no problem except they are not a good
source. If you use one of the last 6 (all valid sources from my
database) you crash the Check / Repair tool.

If you add a forward slash on the end of the 6 valid source websites
it doesn't crash but it also doesn't open.

But the problem goes way beyond disabling the Check / Repair tool.

Now go to his wife or anyone unrelated even. Click on Media Gallery
and Add Media > Video (I attached an AVI file but I suspect any video
type will do).

Now run the Check / Repair tool and it does not crash.

Go back to Asa Clark and check your web source. It is now a Video icon
with the web address in the caption.

I don't know if the video file has to be avi to mess up the web
citation but an mp4 does not change it.
