My laptop still has vers. 8.0.0.439. Desktop has vers. 8.0.0.454. On v 454 right click on any attached media in media gallery or source citation, from right click menu go down to "Cut.. and right or left click. Nothing happens. You cannot remove (Cut) a media item whether picture, doc, video or website.
On v 439 when you click on Cut you get a popup "Delere Picture" Are you sure? Yes No and clicking yes deletes it.
