If this is from a FTM 2014 database, there is a new item called “Web Link”, if
you have used this within FTM then that may be the source of this entry.

Thanks,

Do you perhaps include a URL, in the citation information (the Web address
field on the Edit Source Citation dialog)? If so, the line to which you refer
(3_LINK) might be better converted as a URL.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Import From Family Tree Maker

I am doing a import from Family Tree Maker and I get a unrecognized tag for
_LINK

The Gedcom Entry is as follows:

2 SOUR @S24@

3 DATA

4 TEXT Record for Clara Wilson

3 _LINK http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=FS1UtahMarriages
<http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=FS1UtahMarriages&h=188559&indiv=try>
 &h=188559&indiv=try

I think it should import as.

1 OBJE

2 FORM URL

2 FILE http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=FS1UtahMarriages
<http://search.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=FS1UtahMarriages&h=188559&indiv=try>
 &h=188559&indiv=try

As that is really what it is. However I can not seem to get it to map that way.

Regards,

Kyle L
