While this doesn’t help Brian, another suggestion is to import a GEDCOM into a new Legacy file first and go through and clean it up to your standards before importing into your primary file.
Also, if the deed is already done and you find yourself with an unwanted EVENT, you can set the EVENT to PRIVATE while working on removing it, so that it does not print in your reports. Mary ------------------------------------------- So as it stands right now, Legacy has no means of deleting a Master Event Definition (that is in use) in just a few mouse clicks. That tells me one has to be very careful about importing any GEDCOM files from other programs which may have events names that you don’t want to appear as an event name.
