No that is not what I meant. I found out about those things. But my real query is why I have more than the direct line children bolded. Take one family. John and Anne Anderson have 10 children, Harry number 10 is the direct line and is bolded. But John number 2 and Anne number 8 are also bold whether I have 1 column 2 columns or three columns. Only in list view is Harry the only one bolded. I don't seem to be able to change this and it happens all through even if only 2 children number 2 is bolded even if not the direct line and it happens on both sides of the family. Sue Anderson
