I received one.

The only reason I read it was that the subject was the same as that of
another mailing list I belong to.

Some have mentioned using Gmail, but that would entail using the clunky Gmail
editor. I stopped using it when it became so difficult to use.

And the headers of the spam message suggest that it may have come from Gmail
in the first place:

Maybe the computer fundis among us can interpret that, but it looks to me as
if though the spam may have been coming from Gmail itself, which some have
been recommending as a remedy. If I start receiving a lot of them, I will
filter them on the Reply-to address,

There is no need or point in unsubscribing from the Legacy list, as they are
not coming from the list.

I just checked my spam directory, and found one message from the legacy group
there -- it was from Ward Walker, and it was trapped because he had failed to
delete unnecessary material from several nested levels of earlier replies,
and specifically ones that say the message is in the attachment. All messages
that contain that thing about the attachment automatically go to my spam
directory, because it's too much schlep to read them and impossible to reply
to them. Fortunately they seem to have been becoming less frequent recently.
