Hi Marie,
I've pulled your second post out of the attachment. Consider a different email address for this list or join the Facebook Legacy User Group. I'm sure lots of readers of this list don't see emails that are packaged as attachments.

Once a person is in a relationship in Legacy - either has a partner or a child and therefore at least a blank/unknown partner, the gender buttons are greyed out. If there is only one relationship for them, you can use Edit - Swap husband and wife If they have more than one relationship, then it's necessary to unlink them, change gender and link them back. See this article for full details: http://support.legacyfamilytree.com/article/AA-00344/14/Tips-and-How-Tos/Tips-on-Fixing-Relationship-Problems.html

I should have explained a little more. The male female buttons are grayed out on her individual screen. Both she and her husband are listed as male. When I unlink her from her parents I still can not change her to female. When I click on her she is listed without her husband. If I go to the marriage list she is listed with her husband, but both are listed as "male." Since he has a previous marriage I can not swap genders. She is also now listed for the second time on the marriage list as "male" with no wife.

The original message to the list is in the attachment.

This action is required because of the DMARC Reject/Quarantine Policy
imposed by some email providers. Users who want to send messages
without conversion to attachments should use a different email address
for their subscription.

Known providers for free email accounts whose emails do not require
this conversion include gmail.com and hotmail.com. Many other email
providers will also work but you will have to give them a try.
