Hello Murf,
Have you run chkdsk on your computer? It might be a bad sector on the hard
drive that is preventing the repair.
Right click on the start button, and select run.
In the run box type chkdsk c: /f
A box will say check the disk on reboot because it cannot be locked. Type Y
to allow it.
When it finishes, go back into Legacy and rerun the compact and repair a
few times.
Hopefully everything will be back in shape. Then back that drive up. It
maybe getting ready to go.
It could be bad news just prepare yourself.
