If you read the "intro" as to why the email is an attachment, you'll understand. This warning is even posted where you sign up for the list, but people still continue to use their yahoo and aol accounts....
I do find this DMARC stuff terribly annoying. Much of the spam I receive at my Yahoo email account are actually from other Yahoo accounts, so the DMARC isn't very helpful! The Legacy servers are well protected from spam and viruses. There is no problem with reading these emails.
