Once you start using two monitors, you will soon find you don’t know how you lived w/o two for so long. My son in law set mine up and I drag Legacy back and forth with no problem. I have to 27 and sometimes I will split one with FAG and Ancestry. You can accomplish more with two.

Better is to know which file you want on which side. If the one you're in when you go to Split Screen isn't the one you want on the left, when asked whether to open another file, simply say No and then highlight the left window and use File - Open file to open the one you want.
