One of the problems you may have is dealing with syncing to the cloud (Google Drive). If the files do not have time to sync when you go between Stations A & B, then you may get corrupted files and funny file names may be created. I am not sure google drive handles and how quick it syncs files.
What you have set up looks correct. I think the problems is with the syncing. I use DropBox for my cloud sharing of Legacy files. It works fine unless i open a file too quickly from another computer. Good luck with your issues. ___ Leon Chapman chap...@gmail.com ----- On Mon, Jan 22, 2018 at 9:07 AM, wam eskes <w_es...@hotmail.com> wrote: > Run Legacy over Google Drive > > > > So far I implemented our Family Tree Genealogy application on Legacy on my > laptop (call it station ‘A’) and I now want to get my sister to use Legacy > on her laptop (call is station ‘B’). > > > > For convenience both stations ‘A’ and ‘B’ are physically in the same > location whist we address the problem I am about to describe you. > > > > First I describe our system. > > On station ‘A’ the host folder with ‘share’ attribute; is > > D:\Google Drive\legacy-eskes\ > > which means that subordinate folders are also shared.
